New Horizons
CIIMAR is celebrating its 25th anniversary!
To mark the date, the CIIMAR community will organise several events throughout the year under 4 pillars: Sustainability, Society, Art and Culture, and Diversity and Wellbeing. These events will be mainly targeted for CIIMAR’s community, but some initiatives will be open to our stakeholders and general public.
In addition, CIIMAR’s history and contribution to science and society will be highlighted in a series of 25 videos that will be released throughout the commemorative year.
This page will be regularly updated with news related to the celebration’s programme.
The 25th anniversary is under the “New Horizons” moto, embracing the unknown that is yet to be explored by the CIIMAR crew in the upcoming years.

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, CIIMAR is launching the video series “25 Tons de Azul”. Reflecting the impact the research centre has had over the past 25 years, the series invites viewers to dive into CIIMAR’s main areas of action.
